Our Ecuadorian cacao grows together with many different fruit trees - this is also reflected in its flowery-nutty taste, and, thanks to its fine citrus acid, is also reminiscent of mangos and oranges.
The cacao mass is processed to a very high quality and therefore has a melt that is reminiscent of chocolate - overall, the mass is very homogeneous and has a chocolate-brown, matt-glossy exterior.
Like all of our masses, it contains all the vital substances of the cocoa bean, making it ideal for cacao ceremonies, but also ideal for all other hot beverages, an excellent base for your own chocolate, baking, cooking and a snack.
Origin
Ecuador used to be part of the Inca Empire and is considered the country of origin of cacao.
The fine variety "Arriba Nacional" pampers the taste buds all over the world. The cacao from this project comes from the Los Ríos, Esmeraldas and Manabí region and it is allowed to grow in mixed cultures.
Collected by locals, it is then brought to the smallholder cooperatives for fermentation and drying, being gently refined into various products.
