About

Raw cocoa beans with pulp are a real rarity.
After opening the cacao pods, the beans are not fermented, but gently dried directly in the dehydrator, bringing the pure cacao power straight to your home!
These white beans are particularly complex to manufacture because the cacao pods have to be harvested at exactly the right moment and processed very quickly, on the one hand because of the natural fermentation process, on the other hand because of the high temperatures on site.

The core temperature of the beans never exceeds 40 ° C during the entire processing process.
Thanks to its relatively high theobromine content (0.73g to 100g), the Queen of Beans is a truly revitalizing good-mood meal with a fruity-raw taste!
About the Cacao
Cacao Origin

Origin

The cacao plants for our “Queen of Beans” come from nine smallholder families in Sri Lanka.
The beans with pulp are cultivated in ecological forest gardens on a total of 10 hectares of land. The cacao pods grow between other crops such as coconut palms, papaya and jackfruit and are part of a natural ecosystem.
The different trees and bushes offer each other protection from sun and wind and their roots protect the earth from erosion.
Even before their organic certification, the small-scale farmers in the project traditionally avoided using pesticides and worked their land with the help of natural fertilizers.
